About Attorney Lane

Bill Lane has always been a defender. Attorney Lane was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2011 and brought with him decades of experience in aviation and journalism. He was drawn to the practice of law by the desire to defend those who have been accused, and must face prosecution. This “defense-first, defense-only” commitment to defend our clients against criminal accusations is at the heart of Lane Law Office

After serving in the U.S. Army during the Cold War including in West Germany, Attorney Lane earned a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science and began a career in aviation, where he specialized in flight training and education. He gradually began writing for newspapers covering, among other things, crime and courts. He pursued journalism in its various forms until he joined the bar.

Attorney Lane graduated with a law degree in 2011 from New England Law | Boston, and was admitted to the bar that year. He lives in the Pioneer Valley with his wife of more than three decades. Together, they enjoy the outdoors, birding, hiking, kayaking, and spending time wandering the forests of New England.
